Baking, deviantArt, great Friday, crossing fingers

Patty cake, patty cake,
Baker's man.
Bake me a cake, as fast as you can.
Roll it and pat it (patting),
And mark it with B,
And put it in the oven for baby and me.

I really feel like baking now. Should I blame it on the weather? It's been quite chilly and wet over the past week and to make matters worse, the weather forecast says several more dreary days are to follow. Of course, the sudden urge to bake could have something to do with the fact that:
  • There is a truckload of uni work that needs to be completed by Wednesday --> Friday --> Sunday

  • I was on deviantArt looking at photos of candy, cupcakes, cakes, brownies, cookies etc...
I guess my guess is as good as yours, but in all honesty, I think this sudden urge to bake is a result of a combination of the above mentioned points. Ah man, bake bake bake, cake cake cake (in cups = cupcake)! Last night I felt the need to bake so badly that I went online and looked for piping bags. I don't currently have a piping bag (or any of the associated nozzles)..

Oh, this (take a look at the pretty, pretty, very yummy cookie on the left and then click the link XD) could have also had a little something to do with the urge to bake! I snapped a few photos of the invite to Jenni's 21st (which I cannot wait for!). They can be found on my dA account (: I'm quite pleased with the way they turned out!

=D I've been uploading quite a few items (the images you see here are just previews =P and, and, and you'll have to click the links to see more *mwahahaha*) onto deviantArt lately (do you guys have dA accounts? LINK ME IF YOU DO!) and I've got some video ideas too (:

Anyway, I had a really great Friday late afternoon onwards XD But, but, but... *squee* it was good and that's all you need to know. And no, the assignments and exams (thank gosh I only have two exams this semester vs. four like I've had every other semester!) didn't make my Friday enjoyable =P Haha. Oh, and, and, and... there was no party to make it fun either. Haha.

Okay, that's all for now. Remember to please keep your (spare, if you have any // metaphoric, if you have no spare) fingers crossed for me! Hopefully I'll be providing you all with some good news soon (really, REALLY hopeful).

Take care of yourselves!
Xx.

keep your fingers crossed for me..

.. if you can spare to have your fingers crossed that is =)

A better explanation will follow (possibly) next week!

Hope you're all doing well. I'm super busy (el-lameOH!) -the semester's almost over and there are several assignments that need completing =O
Someone save me!

EPIC

Seriously epic = Star Trek.
Go watch it.
If you're a girl & don't usually like movies with awesome SFX, you'll enjoy this one ..
.. the guys are very drool worthy!
Personally, I enjoyed the film +awesome SFX +awesomeness in space +not too many corny lines +just darn awesome!
Yep.
Go see it!

Oh, so I went shopping today and bought deux new skirts today. (EDIT: twa new skirts +1coat). Yeah, I might not keep them all thought... so we'll see what happens.

Call of Duty is fun too. Like, it's GOOOOOOD. I think it was CoD. Too bad I have ZERO time to get into it right now... ahh uni is very stressful!

Alright. That's not really very interesting aye?

All in all, my day was pretty good. Really very eventful. So eventful that I'm worn out so I'm off to bed.

Goodnight everyone.

Xx.

just for jase

I honestly appreciate everything that you do for me.
Thank you so much for stuff.
You know what stuff I'm talking about.
I don't know how I'd get through half the things that I've gotten through without your support.

*hug*

new deviation = procrastination.

Another new deviation uploaded (click the preview, right, if you're interested). My deviations have been pretty lame lately. I can't wait to get out and about with my DSLR &take some photos instead of trying to "draw" [that didn't make sense grammatically aye?!]. Jase says that I'll only get better by practicing (which makes perfect sense). The only real issue is that I seem to want to pick up all these wonderful things whenever I should be busy studying. Procrastination. Like many others, I dislike procrastinating BUT seem to do it anyway. It's a sad (and often painful) neverending cycle.

Anyway, I lost a follower on Twitter. It made me laugh. I find it amusing that after I posted something along the lines of "goodbye twitter world for the next few months" (SOMETHING like that), someone decides.. "okay, not worth following" =P Ah well, no big deal. Better for only those who are interested to follow =) I wouldn't want it to be some fad-type thing.
So why off Twitter for the next few months? The answer to that should be pretty obvious... no? UNI. Uni is major stressful and epic this year. Epic <> good in this case. Epic = hard, stressful &lameeeee. It's enjoyable, but I'm on overdrive.

Okay, that's it for now. Nothing really blog-worthy in this post (yet again), but my life has been pretty uninteresting lately.

I hope you're all well!

Xx.

Positive Thinking

Yes, second post in the space of... less than an hour. Actually, it's been less than ten minutes (or there abouts) since my last post!

The reason I've decided to spend an extra five(ish) minutes posting is because I was having a look at the "links" (*cough cough*, you know what I mean right?) on my blog and found them to be addressing somewhat depressing issues (see left).
Anyway, I really didn't want to have such negative "links" on my blog. I mean, they really don't encourage anyone to click do they? Unless, of course, you're going through a hard time (which I hope noone who reads my blog is..).
So, in order to counteract the somewhat depressing links, I thought I would talk about happy things.
Lions and tigers and bears .. oh my!
Maybe some zoo related "links" will magically appear? Hmm, speaking of the zoo, I do want to go to a zoo soon. The last time I went to the ZOO, was in my first year of uni (almost two years ago) and even then, I was doing all day long and instead of being fascinated by the awesome animals (at the ZOO! XD), I had to study plant species and a few native Australian animals. Honestly, I would have preferred watching the elephants, lions, seals... (OTHER animals!) all day. At least I managed to drag one of my best mates out with me. He made the day more enjoyable (:
Ah, don't you just love remembering happy times? Haha.

Happy, happy, happy!

Cheerful, happy people are fun to be around. I find that quite often, their happiness is contagious and 'rubs off' (so to say) onto others, making everyone quite jolly and fun to be around!

Okay enough random blogging for now. Hopefully this blog has served its purpose well (:

Xx.

Today's Excuse to Post

Beating the class average is a great feeling. I got a result back today and considering the fact that I had a pre-exam (the night before +the morning leading up to the exam) cram session, I'm quite happy with my mark. The fact that I beat the majority (no, not just 51% majority..) of the class (approximately 200 students) was a really good feeling =)! Once again, I have faith in Water Resources Engineering (I suppose, the fact that I thoroughly enjoy it helps).

Hmm. Sorry about the slightly incoherent burst of random happy (although, bursts of random happy >>> bursts of random sad).

I've noticed that the number of people following my blog has increased by about five people (in the past month or so). So, hello to my new readers =) I hope you are all well (this includes my longer-term, highly awesome readers). Feel free to provide any insight/ideas/comments/criticisms that you might find you have in the comments to any post and I'll do my best to address them =)

Take care.

Xx.

Three Photos

Three shots from Thursday night.
Funniest thing was that I had emptied (mostly) my camera to make space for 700ish photos... I took a grand total of seven (no joke) -none of which were on the boat!
The following photos were from one of my friend's cameras!

Some of the wonderful folk (friends) on the harbour cruise..
Renard looks HILLARIOUS!

One of my best friends & I.

On the way back to public transport!
Garth and Alan = classic pose!

Anyway, that'll have to suffice for now (blog post wise).
Looking forward to hearing from you guys soon!

munchkinhugs on a floaty boaty

So, cruise tonight.
It's the final one before I finish my undergrad degree.

So, the theme is "what I want to be when I grow up".

I have two options:

1) Fairy (ha, sad but true) with a very pink dress and the wrong black shoes (I was supposed to bring the silver pair.. but picked up the wrong ones).
2) Dancer (not sure but I didn't want to be buying an outfit... and I have cool sneakers XD) with beige shorts, a shiny top and awesome sneakers.

I want to do the second more.. but yeah.
Not sure.
Really, really not sure.

Let me know what you guys think.
You have four to five hours before I will not have access to the internet anymooooaaaar.

(:

Hope all's well.

Today, email.

Hey guys, hope everything's great with you!
My today was awesome. Irene is awesome.
That's right -awesome.

Just wanted to let you know that I've created a new email address just for you. Yes, I'm not anywhere near as popular as a lot of other internet people, but I've made an account for you guys anyway -just incase you wanted to email me/chat on MSN. I can't promise that I'll check the account as often as my personal account, but I will make an effort to check it weekly/fortnightly and reply to your emails =)

Also, feel free to add me to MSN if you use it -I know some of you *cough*NEIL*cough* don't (just make sure you let me know WHO YOU ARE, so I don't feel super confused!). I look forward to chitchatting with you guys (in real time) soon!
EDIT // the email address is *drum roll* munchkinhugs[AT]live[dot]com[dot]au [replacing [AT] with "@" and [dot] with "." .. both @hotmail.com and @gmail.com were stolen .. *tears]

Indian Superman and Spider(wo)man

Oh yeah.
You really want to watch this.
[It's funny &will (hopefully) make you smile AND LOL!]

Guess what Rich, I'm quoting you!

In the comments for my previous post (regarding crying, ways to cry, feeling better -etc.), I received a comment along the lines of:

"A huge piece of chocolate cake can make anybody feel pretty good"

Just wanted to say, sorrrrry but that's not true. There are two people (one type of person, and one person in particular) that I can think of which would counterbalance the otherwise, balanced statement!

1) My friend Max (just take a look at him!); he dislikes chocolate. That's right. So, that's FAIL #1.

2) Anorexic people. FAIL #2.

On a more serious note, I love chocolate +cake &chocolate cake = awesome too.
Don't worry Rich, I don't hate you! It just made me laugh that your theory failed... wow, that sounds so negative.

Take care guys!
BTW -tomorrow has been postponed for a week or two. If we talk outside this blog, you already know details. If not, you will hopefully know by the end of next month (keep your fingers crossed for me)!

Hugs to you all (and Jackie, thanks for the hugs!).
X

PS. smiling >> crying
PPS. Three new videos on YouTube. They're all really, really short & quite silly [lame/awful].. =)

so, crying is a skill

So, cryings is a skill (that can be learnt).

Exercises to Help You With Crying and Emotional Release (from: here):

  • Go into a dark or dimly lit room, where you will not be interrupted. Curl up on a bed or on the floor in a pile of pillows. Let your emotions and the sensations in your body be your guide, they will tell you what to do if you have the sensitivity to listen.

  • Make a vocal sound that matches with the feelings of sorrow and pain in your stomach, heart and throat. This may come out as a wail, a whimper, a howl or a roar. It is essential that you let these sounds out, as they give you emotional release that otherwise is just not possible.

  • Deep, long sobbing is the key to powerful emotional release. That’s what you’re going for in the effort to cry. Quietly leaking a few tears is better than nothing, but it won’t get to the heart of the matter. When you experience deep loss your body needs to sob, deep and long until you feel a release and a sense of relief. You may need to do this several times during the grieving process. Sobbing occurs as a kind of rapid coughing or convulsing rhythm in your belly, so the belly must be relaxed for this to happen. Relaxing your stomach and breathing deeply can often facilitate crying.

  • Sometimes there is a powerful layer of anger or even rage surrounding sorrow. Because of this, anger release work may sometimes be necessary to allow crying to start. I have seen literally hundreds of clients go into crying after powerful anger release. The verbal statements that might go with anger release for grieving might be “No, no, no…” or “Why did you leave me?”

Sleeping, Exercising.

I slept for 14 hours last night. Slept at 6PM (yesterday) and woke around 8.30AM (today).

It's amazing what a trying few days can do to you.

Today I didn't have a productive day (at least, not nearly as productive as I'd hoped) but it was good to spend time with my sis. We had a ball (basketball =P) to HSM3 songs. It was good but I'm not going to describe it here...

Hopefully you're all well.
This weekend is going to be really busy for me and I'll try to post at least one decent post some time next week (sorry about missing out on last weekend's post).

So, so much.

Feeling Good.

Things are going great in life!
I feel like I'm finally kinda on top of my assessments/exams/thesis, which is an amazing feeling! Tonight, I felt so on top of things that I actually watched X-Men 3 (The Last Stand?). Gosh, Hugh Jackman is seriously an awesome actor. Wolverine hair is pretty sweet. I tried convincing one of my mates to do the Wolverine do, but he said he can't do the sideburns (he's half asian)...
Speaking of friends, I have the greatest friends. It's a real shame that we hardly get time together this semester (different subjects/clashing timetables etc. = lame!). Although.. not having a lot of time with them has made me realise how blessed I am to have such great people in my life.
Right, lots more pointless typing will follow if I don't stop some time soon.
Hope everything's great with you guys (:
Take care of yourself!
